1) Operator and Service
SIMO is operated by Canoe Interpretation. SIMO provides live meeting and event language support, including real-time captions, machine translation, and optional synthesized translated audio.
2) Acceptable Use
- Use SIMO only for lawful meetings and events.
- Do not attempt to bypass room access controls, security controls, rate limits, or Zoom app permissions.
- Do not use SIMO to transmit unlawful, abusive, harassing, infringing, or malicious content.
- Do not reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the service or its providers.
3) Meeting Content, Permissions, and Notices
Meeting hosts, organizers, and users are responsible for making sure they have permission to enable meeting content sharing and to process meeting audio for captions, translation, and optional synthesized audio. They are also responsible for providing any notices or obtaining any consents required by their organization, meeting participants, or applicable law.
4) No Emergency or Regulated-Use Guarantee
SIMO is not an emergency service, legal interpretation service, medical interpretation guarantee, certified accessibility accommodation by default, or substitute for a qualified human interpreter where one is required by law, contract, policy, or professional standards. Do not rely on SIMO for emergency communications or high-stakes regulated decisions unless a separately arranged managed service explicitly covers that use.
5) Third-Party Provider Dependencies
SIMO depends on third-party providers such as Zoom, speech-to-text, translation, text-to-speech, hosting, database, and network providers. Service availability, latency, translation quality, audio quality, and feature behavior may depend on those providers and on the meeting environment.
6) Privacy
The SIMO Privacy Policy explains how SIMO processes meeting audio, captions/translations, session metadata, operational logs, and privacy requests. See https://simointerpretation.com/privacy.
