Configure SIMO for Zoom

Most Zoom use starts inside the meeting: open SIMO, enter the room code, choose the caption language, and join. Organizers can also prepare rooms and language defaults before a managed event.

Configuration paths

Choose the level of setup that matches the event.

In-meeting setup

Best for quick review or a simple event with one known language route.

  • Open SIMO from Zoom Apps.
  • Enter the SIMO room code.
  • Choose the caption language.
  • Select Join.

Managed event setup

Best when organizers need room defaults prepared before participants arrive.

  • Confirm event date and time.
  • Confirm floor language and listener languages.
  • Confirm whether captions, translated audio, or both are needed.
  • Share support contact details for the live event.

Advanced room defaults

Best for larger events where the SIMO team pre-configures rooms.

  • Room title and access window.
  • Source language or auto-detect candidates.
  • Default target languages.
  • Phrase hints or event terminology when available.

Organizer details to have ready

These details let support prepare the right room and reduce live-meeting troubleshooting.

Event title, organization, start and end time, Zoom meeting owner or host, source language, listener languages, expected outputs, and the best contact email or phone number for support.
